Yummy Yams

Yummy Yams/nourishyourselfnow.com

Is this really breakfast? These are sooo delicious, I am happy to eat this as my dessert. Only 3 ingredients, 5 minutes to “cook” and your are ready to indulge in super creamy melt-in-your-mouth deliciousness.

Serves one

Prep Time : 5 minutes       Cook Time: 3-5 minutes (need baked sweet potato)

Ingredients

1 medium baked sweet potato, peeled (optional)

1/2 -1 banana, peeled and cut into slices

sprinkle of cinnamon

Directions

  • Heat broiler
  • Cut sweet potato in half.  Arrange banana slices on top  and sprinkle with cinnamon.
  • Place on a broiler proof pan and broil for 3-5 minutes.
  • Start checking at 3 minutes. Time depends a little on your oven and how dark (and goowy) you like your banana. Enjoy!

Notes

I used a Japanese sweet potato, as it is my favorite. Choose whichever one is your’s.

Caution: this gets quite hot, so give it a minute or so to cool before you bite into this deliciousness!

This is such a beautiful and yummy looking dish! I’m going to add this to my list of ‘must-try’ recipes, which is ever growing! I can’t find the Japanese sweeters around here, and I love them.
